A JOURNEY TO MEET DESTINY

"As Saul drew near to Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?” “Who are You, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” He replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless. They heard the voice but did not see anyone. Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could not see a thing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. For three days he was without sight, and he did not eat or drink anything." Acts 9:3-9 BSB

In the summer of AD 37, during the reign of Herod Agrippa the 1st, the fifth ruler of Judea and Perea, an event happened which forever shaped the life of a 37 years old Master degree hold in Jewish Laws who was a graduate of the school of Gamaliel. The event which took  place closer to the City of Demacus, on the road which leads to that city turns out to be a life transforming one. Born to a Hebrew father with a Roman citizenship, Saul, who later adopted a romanized name, Paul, set himself as the worse enemy of the faith at the dawn of the emergence of the Church. Persecuting the Church in Jerusalem and scattering all the disciples of the Lord abroad, he consented himself to death, went to the high priest for a letter to the city of Damascus to cause more havoc by taking more disciples and committing them to prison and to have some bound, brought to Jerusalem.

It was on the hills of this unfortunate crusade, on the road to the city of Damascus, of which it was written that a light flashed about around him which is brighter than that of the sun. Inquisition reveal the divinity of the our Lord, Christ Jesus standing right there on that Holy ground and the worse enemy of the Christian faith is about to become most effective and the greatest proponent of the faith. It was a journey to meet destiny.

Scripture said, the men traveling with him were astounded as they heard a voice spoken out but saw no man.
Billions of people are walking this earth today with a minute number knowing where they are from to talk less of where they are heading. Those that are on the run, run with no vision, no discovery of self
A great number of the world's population is living with no concept of pre-vision, a divine ordination and an ultimate purpose for existence. I walked into a bookshop the last time and saw a literature by young and emerging author, who, the principle he lives by and the paradigm he constitute is  "life has no meaning unless you define it." I waited for a while and said to myself, what does he mean? Our lives on planet earth has it's bearing from what God has written concerning our lives before the foundations of the world. As the psalmist said, "My flesh was made by you, and my parts joined together in my mother's body. I will give you praise, for I am strangely and delicately formed; your works are great wonders, and of this my soul is fully conscious. My frame was not unseen by you when I was made secretly, and strangely formed in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book all my days were recorded, even those which were purposed before they had come into being." Psa 139:13-16 BBE.

The writer of this psalm brought a fine revelation about what went on in eternity long before we became a clot of blood in our mother's wombs. Before we were born, God saw our unformed substance and ordained how long we should live on earth and the thing we should accomplish on planet earth and the times and seasons in which we should accomplish them. The International Standard Version put it this way, " Your eyes looked upon my embryo, and everything was recorded in your book. The days scheduled for my formation were inscribed, even though not one of them had come yet." You see, the days ascribed to our formation are all written in a book before become an embryo in our mummy's wombs. So God has ordained our years before we were formed. When God called Jeremiah, He said plainly, "  ‘I knew you even before I made your body inside your mother’s body. I chose you before you were born. I decided that you must be a prophet to all the countries in the world’." Jer 1:5 EasyEnglish.
You see, God had knowledge of Jeremiah before God formed him in the mother's womb, and he was ordained before his birth to be a prophet to the nations. To ordain means, to prearrange unalterably. Anything which is unalterably can not be changed. In a contemporary English, that verse would have read " I made you and you exist with me before I sent you to the earth to accomplish all the things which I written down concerning you in my book that you accomplish for me which can not be changed "

So, I thought a little while about that young author's material and the paradigm he is living with, which is, " life has no meaning unless you define it" and concluded, if life has no meaning unless we defined it, I can then ultimately define life by pulling a gun and blowing off the head of my brother. That is really what he meant. I don't know if he knew himself, because that is what is happening in the Middle East. Go and see for yourself, it will amass you how life is being define there. But life have meaning and it must be discovered for our days are written in a book before we were born.
Our lives are definite brethren. The things we are supposed to do on earth are already ordained and our duty is to fetch from the spirit realm those things which are ordained for us by God long before we were born to have found expression on earth. Life become better with finding purpose, because, in your area of ordination is provision made available for functioning. Don't just live, pay bills and die. Find purpose and live it. Trust me, without purpose, you will never find fulfilment in this life. Your purpose gives you significance and relevance. Maybe people doesn't respect and value you, it is because they don't know the reason which you are here. It is better to die and not know life than to live and not know why . Most a times, we wonder away from our ordination and like Saul, God had to meet us and redirect our paths. In this covid-19 season where most people are at home, this is the time to wait on God to have a revelation of yourself for manifestation. The key to self discovery is waiting on God for God to reconnect you to your real self which for long exist but you neglects. Shalom

 What then?

Most of us spent time destroying what we suppose to be building and God has come in to redirects our lives. It is time to catch glimpse of the things which are ordain for us so that we could live a life worth living manifesting the glory of God on earth. Wait on God in fasting and worship to receive his plans for your life and run with it.  God bless you.

Lord, reveal me to myself, show the purpose for which you have sent me to the plane earth that I might live them out before my time in the mame of Jesus.
